Predator Ship
A silent shadow from the stars, bringing the ultimate hunters to Earth.
The Predator ship is a spacecraft hidden underground in Los Angeles, first seen when the Predator flees to it after being wounded. It is a snail-shaped vessel whose interior is described as "both technological and reptilian, where the creature and its ship blend and work together." Production designer Lawrence Paull aimed for "a space vehicle unlike anything that had ever been designed before." The ship contains trophy skulls, including a Xenomorph head from the Alien franchise, which is also owned by Fox.
- First Appearance
- Predator 2 (1990 film)
Lore & Background
The Predator ship is first revealed in the climax of Predator 2, when Harrigan pursues the wounded Predator to a spacecraft hidden underground. Inside, a small group of cloaked Predators arrives to collect their comrade's body. Their leader rewards Harrigan with a flintlock pistol engraved "Raphael Adolini 1715" for killing the Predator. The ship then takes off as Harrigan escapes to the surface. The interior includes trophy skulls from past hunts, including a Xenomorph head, indicating the Predators have encountered other species.
In Their Own Story
After Harrigan severs the Predator's self-destruct device and wounds it, the creature flees to an apartment to treat its wounds before continuing to a spacecraft hidden underground. Harrigan pursues it inside and engages in combat, ultimately killing the Predator with its own disc. Just then, a small group of cloaked Predators arrives to collect their comrade's body. Their leader rewards Harrigan with a flintlock pistol, engraved "Raphael Adolini 1715", for killing the Predator. As the ship takes off, Harrigan escapes to the surface.
