Sam is a hunter who goes into the forest outside Gunnison, Colorado. There, both Sam and another hunter are attacked by facehuggers that escaped from the crashed Predator ship. Sam and the other hunter are killed, and their corpses are later found by Wolf, the Predator cleaner. Wolf disposes of both bodies together using an acid-like liquid. Sam's mother is not named in the film; Darcy is the wife of Sheriff Eddie Morales, not Sam's mother.

In Their Own Story

The forest outside Gunnison was quiet except for the rustle of leaves underfoot. Buddy led his son Sam deeper into the trees, unaware that the crash of a Predator ship had unleashed horrors into the woods. A facehugger, one of several that escaped the wreckage, found them first. Sam never saw it coming. Later, Wolf discovered their bodies, using a syringe to detect traces of the facehuggers before dissolving the remains with acid. Sam's disappearance triggered a manhunt in the town, but by then, he was already gone.
