In *Predator 2*, the Smart Disc is first seen when the Predator uses it to kill Special Agent Peter Keyes. Keyes attempts to freeze the creature, but the Predator throws the Smart Disc at him, killing him. Later, during the final confrontation on the roof, the Predator activates a self-destruct device on its forearm. Harrigan severs the device with the disc, disarming the creature. Harrigan then pursues the Predator to its spacecraft and ultimately kills the Predator with the disc.

In Their Own Story

In the slaughterhouse, Keyes and his team attempt to capture the Predator. The Predator, hearing their footsteps, uses its scanners to track and outmaneuver them. Keyes tries to freeze the creature, but the Predator kills Keyes by throwing a Smart Disc at him. Later, on the roof, the Predator activates a self-destruct device on its forearm. Harrigan severs the device with the disc, disarming it. Harrigan then pursues the Predator to its spacecraft and kills it with the disc.
